student leader self intro 2010-2011
To mention all the quirks about Miriam would be quite a feat.
She says she’s perfectly normal but she might be the strangest person you will ever meet:
distinctive laughs, animated hand motions, and eating 24/7 (especially meat),
if we continued we would fill more than twenty sheets.
Yet although she’s imperfect, she knows her Father God makes her complete,
and she has a heart to serve and wants to love like Jesus washed his disciple’s feet.
She saw the importance of unity and encouragement and wants it to not just stay at retreat,
so as student leader for class rep she will work until our foundations are solid as concrete.
If you ever need a ride don’t be a afraid to take shotgun next to the driver’s seat
because she loves giving rides and getting to know you, and this she will always repeat.
Oh and please, say hi when you see her on the street,
because she always gets gg’ed by her own loner status, so don’t forget to greet!

song of the day, the week. short morning thoughts.
i woke up pretty early today, which is pretty unusual, and i was just spending time in the morning watching himym, eating breakfast, studying, playing on the computer. but then i realized, something didn’t feel right within-i felt uneasy, my heart not at rest and peace. and all of a sudden, it clicked and made sense: it didn’t feel right because i was trying to start off this week, this day, without spending time with HIM and dedicating all to Him. and yes, it shouldn’t feel right at all without Him when in fact He should be my everything, He is my everything.
AH, Lord thank You. thank You that You are beyond anything that any human brain could ever imagine, but You still give us glimpses of understanding so that we may know You. thank You that You don’t abandon us everytime we fall but instead You hold us up with Your right hand. thank You that you hate sin, but You still love the sinner.
thank You that You remind me with gentle whispers to my heart where i should be. thank You that the Holy Spirit lives in me and that You speak to me. sometimes i get overwhelmed with the things that are set before me and the things that i need to be faithful to. and I want to be faithful to You with what You are calling me to right now (Matthew 25:14-30). but even before all that, before all the things You call me to do, I pray that first before all things You would bring me to Your feet to listen to You, to see and understand Your heart like Mary (Luke 10:38-41). that the desires of Your heart would be the desires set upon my heart as well (Psalm 37:4).
and indeed how can i expect to walk without You, when every move that Jesus made was in surrender. so i will not begin to walk without You for You alone are worthy, and You are always good.

please, you don’t even have to agree with the theology of what they’re saying but let’s pray for them. pray for the victims and the hearts of the ones in charge of this. the superbowl can be a fun day for us who sit on the other side of the tv just chillin’ and watching the game with some food, but there’s more to it than just football. ah, Lord be with them.
