“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? … If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.”
—Psalm 139:7-10
There is no place where you cannot find Me.
There is no problem that can keep Me away from you.
You cannot run away from Me, and you cannot chase Me away from you.
I am the God who forgives. When you mess up, I am there to pick you up, dust you off, forgive you, and cover you with My Love.
I did not come to earth to judge you and condemn you. I cam to make you free. Yes, I see your mistakes and your sins and rebellion. But I also see My precious child—forgiven and shining with My righteousness. You are My delight, and I sing over you with Love.
— Jesus Calling, August 30
God, sometimes You just drive me crazy with just how absolutely ridiculously good Your timing is and how exactly You know my heart. But it’s a good crazy. Thank You. I learn so much everyday.
Lord, we need Your grace and mercy
We need to pray like never before
We need the power of Your Holy Spirit
To open heaven’s door
Spirit, touch Your church
Stir the hearts of men
Revive us, Lord
With Your passion once again
I want to care for others
Like Jesus cares for me
Let Your rain fall upon me
Let Your rain fall upon me
Lord, we humbly come before You
We don’t deserve of You what we ask
But we yearn to see Your glory
Restore this dying land
oh LORD oh how we need You more than anyone or anything in this world, let us be desperate, passionate for You and You alone. ohman forreals this whole song.
“Blessed be Your name
When the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s all as it should be
Blessed be Your name”
Psalm 139
1O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
2You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
5You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11If I say, ”Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
13For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16Your eyes saw my unformed substance;in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
17How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
19Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain!
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.
23Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Psalm 139 has always been a passage that, no matter how many times I come back, He never fails to teach me and remind me… That although I may feel like I lack communication with Him, He knows the words that I will say even before I think them; although I may feel distant, He is sooo close and near that I can’t flee from His Spirit, although I may begin to worry about what lies ahead, He is in control for He created a plan for us even before we were even formed. He knows everything about us, and we can’t hide anything from Him. It’s so crajee that I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us. ”The way to Christ is a life long journey”. Ah, indeed it is.
ps. Jesus Calling, An Open Book, August 24. thank you, JESUS!
Move-In Day Saturday, September 17, 2011 2:00pm-3:00pm &leaving to LA on the 16th/17th. It’s so weird to think I just sent off my bestie to move in today and now I have mine approaching at a slow yet fast pace. mmm excited for what He has in store for not only this coming school year but the rest of the summer as well! Just a little less than a month left now. ps. if you’re not busy play with me hehe actually even if you are busy play with me HAHAHA sigh my life
Ah, today we visited Santa Cruz and ohman did I get tan and sunburnt-_- haha. W and I were just playing in the waves while the other people were on the boardwalk going on rides. At first we were looking for shells or sand dollars or anything else cool looking but instead we saw a family of stones! I started to pick them up and look at them one by one, and I found myself intrigued. At first I wasn’t so sure what I found so intriguing about a bunch on rocks because that’s normally not my style. I was just looking at how every rock looked so different and it suddenly occurred to me that our Heavenly Father created EACH rock to be unique. Then, what I previously thought were deformities in the rocks started to truly look like unique features that God Himself placed there. I feel often like these rocks, we tend to compare ourselves to the stereotypical rock, with it’s smooth round curves, or at least I sometimes do. We then start to believe that that’s the only kind of rock that’s acceptable, and when we don’t meet up to these standards, we feel so inadequate. But in truth, if God can make each rock in this world so unique, how much more creative would He be with His own sons and daughters? And it’s not just stones either! Every snowflake, animal, tree, cloud is so unique. He created us so differently because we are so precious to Him, because He loves us with a love so great we can’t wrap our heads around the true extent of His love. He handcrafted us and hand picked our features. And not only that, but also we are made in His image. (Genesis 1:27) Knowing this, how can we, or how can I, feel inadequate just cause we don’t match up to what the world wants us to believe is the “perfect” body, personality, characteristics? Or how can we even compare ourselves to someone else when He has His perfect plan waiting for us?
