be there for reals, this friday! WOO.
seriously, you don’t want to miss this
a little message i got in a fortune cookie today
though it is true, how can we fear when we believe that He is with us?
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ―Isaiah 41:10
note to self: this is a command
1 And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. 2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, 4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
― 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
He is so, so good.
OOOOH, hopefully soon! steak sounds super good…
Matthew 6:33
“For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
― 1 Corinthians 1:25-31
You use the weak to lead the song. You are stronger.
Oh, I’m running to Your arms,
I’m running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
Psalm 119:103
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” ―2 Timothy 3:16
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” ―John 1:1
learning to love and cherish Scripture, oh how beautifully genius our God is.
driving into my neighborhood
the feeling of growing peace and relief i get as i drive into my neighborhood
how the roads twist and turn, filling me with anticipation
making that same three point turn i make everyday to park
gathering all my stuff and getting out of the car
turning keys to unlock the house with the classic clanking of my “pray” keychain
opening the door and putting my keys in the same place on the piano
calling out ”im home”
putting stuff down in my room
going into david’s room to bother him for a little
telling my parents the excitements of the day
going into my room and falling into bed
there is seriously no place like home
